Gloria R Tweten of Gig Harbor Washington, passed away on February 16th 2023 at the age of 92. Haven Of Rest Funeral Home, Crematory, & Memorial Park, located above the bay in Gig Harbor, right beside State Route 16 NW, has been serving families at this location since 1954. He was involved with Hogan Fine Foods, Food King Grocery, Hogan Enterprise and WWR Properties. Wayne was in the Army Reserves and the Air force ROTC and was a very prominent businessman in the area. Wayne was offered a career in the San Francisco Opera but declined to start a family and become an entrepreneur. He went on to perform at the Tacoma Little Theatre, and many public and private events in the area. He attended the University of Washington where he perfected his amazing tenor voice. Wayne obtained his pilots license at age 13, performed in many musicals, and graduated from Stadium High School in the class of 1951. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Vera.īorn in Tacoma, Wayne was a life long Gig Harbor resident. He leaves his wife, Sharon, after 62 years of marriage, his son Wayne Jr (Gretchen), grandchildren Taylor and Tara, brothers Mick and Bob, and many close friends. Hogan 82, died Friday Februfollowing a brief illness. ![]()
